Princess Bala is a curious ant who wants to be free from the dictates of her mother and her fiance Gen. Mandible. Her dream has always been to experience new things, like the world beyond the colony. Although she sometimes seems a conceited princess who throws around her rank to make other do what she wants, she also interacts with ordinary workers and the rest of ants, passing herself off as one of them. She’s restless and brave, although sometimes a bit fearful.
